Background Information :

Annually, the Board must approve its Director’s participation in the State’s Executive Development Program for Public School Leaders, Component III – CEO Leadership Institutes. This program consists of ten (10) days of meetings each fiscal year for which the State, in the past, paid the Director a $1,000 supplement ($100 per meeting). Due to additional State budget cuts, this supplement for the 2012 – 2013 Fiscal Year has been cut and will not be paid. Regardless of the status, no financial obligation will attach to the Board’s approval of its Director’s participation in this professional development program.

Professional development opportunities are extremely important for staying informed on the latest trends and developments in public education. I would appreciate the Board's approval of my participation.
